Howdy, I have a 1978 xs650e which I've been working on. Bike's electrical was ALL working perfectly. Wanted to replace the old battery b0ecause it kept going dead really quick and would not charge well.
Bought new battery and connected it backwards. I didn't start anything but it did spark (so tiny) when I was going to fully connect it. Immediately realizing this battery had + and - on the opposite sides I disconnected it and got the correct style battery.
Now when I plugged in my new battery, I get nothing when I turn the key. What did I mess up and how do I fix it. I do have a voltmeter but I do need a little guidance as to what do I do next.
Thanks in advance...
