When I was younger and hungrier I used to prowl the neighborhoods on "bulky item" pick up day. I do appliance repair on the side and would pick up decent looking washers and dryers off the curb in my Ranger pick up. I didn't buy a new washer or dryer for 20 years and only bought a new washer last year. Still haven't bought a new dryer for 20 years. Actually we are running two dryers.
