Info on pamco needed

I have a 81 xs 650 and an wondering if I buy a pamco unit will it still use the TCI box and all that other crap or is it just a self contained unit???? Also any suggestions on which kit I would need for my 81.

self contained, it replaces the TCI crap. You would need a kit with the advance unit parts.
