I see the RH pipe has been notched for start lever clearance.

Not pretty IMHO but both RH pipes are made to clear the start lever.

Oh, yeah, super-excellent. That first set of pipes is almost exactly what I'm after. Those pics are going to save me tons of time drawing mock-ups -- glad I hadn't started drawing them yet. Thank you!

So, I Googled Holiday XS650, and found more pics of that bike.

Including this. NOT a fan, but nice job matching the frame curve. Maybe I'd like it better if it didn't fish-tail... Link here:

Here are more pics of the bike in halfmile's version:

I thought this was the same bike with different paint, but instead, it seems that Holiday is cloning itself. Links here:

Details of the kicker cut-out. It's okay, I guess, but not for me...

The start lever notch would have to be restrictive. Looks like they made that long curve bend by moving the pipe in the mandrel and making a very slight bend each time.

Yes, the notch would be restrictive, but it actuality would probably help anti-reversion and make it easier to tune. I'd insert some kind of similar restriction in the left pipe.
Yes, you are right about how they made the sweeping curve. Yes, anybody could probably do it.
I spent 12 years as a union electrician bending pipe, sometimes thick-walled rigid steel up to 8" diameter. We'd make huge sweeping curves using incremental bends.

I just came across this info about a low melting point tube-filling alloy for bending thin wall tubing, called Cerrobend:
http://www.hitechalloys.com/hitechalloys_005.htm
Definitely interesting. I have read about filling tubing and megaphones with molten lead before, but this seems a lot safer and easier.
Sounds like a kind of expensive material, but interesting. The link specifys using it on thin-wall, and probably best for the smaller diameters. Thin-wall is the street name for Electric Metallic Tubing, also called EMT, which is steel tubing specifically made as a conduit for electrical wires. Not suitable for exhausts.

We were all given this booklet during our 4-years of class when we were apprentices in the electrical union.

This booklet is all about using foot benders on thin-wall. The bender can make a code diameter 90 degree bend in a single shot. This page shows how to use a hickey (a slightly different kind of foot-bender) to make larger diameter bends.
In addition to thin-wall, we bent IMC (Intermediate Metal Conduit), and Rigid -- that was the heavy stuff, and anything bigger than about an inch required either mechanical or hydraulic benders.
We also bent electrical grade schedule 40 PVC. For small stuff, we used a heat gun. For the big sizes, say 2" and up, we had these electrically-heated oil baths. You'd put the conduit in the hot oil for a few moments, then pull it out and bend it.
If you were in the field, no electricity, you could put one end of a PVC pipe into the exhaust of a running work truck, and heat it up for bending that way.

Yeah, good call. I'm still trying to find some info on prices -- may have to message them. In the mean time, here are lots of interesting pics:

Here's another example of a sweeping curve exhaust, exactly like what I was initially looking for, but after looking at Nakaya Racing's work, I'm re-thinking what I want.

This is the eBay listing where I found the above pic. Extremely terrible listing. Not a single over-all pic of the bike, so it's impossible to get much of a feel for what the bike looks like. And, the engine is not a 1971. Includes two youtube vids which are equally terrible. But it has a USB phone charger!
