is 79' top triple tree same as 83' ?

I found a nice top triple tree clamp complete with handlebars for my 79 but its off a 83 model will it fit? We're they all the same dimensions?

I believe 77 up are the same there might be differences in gauge mount holes. It is for sure a bolt on to the forks and neck.
