Is it really necessary for front mounts when all the rest of the motor mounts are installed. The reasoning being is that there is no way the stock mounts will fit with the forward controls being mounted.

Why won't your forward controls work with it? Is it just a matter of bolt length?
Given how that mount fits, it seems not only to support the motor but also lend significant rigidity to the frame.

like Fleksta sez, there's no safe way the bike will run without a front engine mount.
All the forward control set-ups I've seen managed to fit without it's removal.
Could you post a photo that shows your forward control/front mount interface?
