Sat since 1996 when it stopped running. Original owner parked it in a barn

No spark, no fuel to carbs, no brakes, burnt wires, rust covered everything..

Thanks to you guys I got it Monday night and rode it 24.9 miles tonight. Got cool handlebars for $25 today too.

Stupid question. But what distinguishes an XS from a TX? I thought it was a market designation for different countries. I ask because I had one just like pictured but was an XS. Still have the motor as it is a one year only compression release.

Simple version they called the XS650 a TX650 in 73-74 then went back to the XS650 name.
The compression release was used two years the 1972 XS2 and the 1973 TX650.
