Just bought 1980 XS650 parts.

On my new to me XS650, need to buy carb kits, fuel valve kit and do I need points for that year. Will also do air filter. Buying new tires and valve stems. New chain.
Change brake fluid.
Any other recommendations for starters. Where to order parts, for quality.
Will be a keeper.
Is original with cast wheels.

'80's had no points or advance unit(ATU)(. First year for TCI(NOT CDI). I bought a PAMCO w/ Ultimate coil, Canadian needlles, needle jets and pilot jets. It will depend on your intake and exhaust changes as to what jets you will need. I really enjoyed my '80 SG before the rebuild that is in progress. I've evened the rebuilding process.
