K&N filters and carb adjustment

per the title the ONLY change to the '83 Heritage Special is the replacement of the old filters with new K&N filters (orig'configuration ).
Any obvious recommendations for carb adjustments.
Bike does not want run at idle. Does fine with a few extra RPM's.

Lack of fuel could be running too lean. Since it's at idle that would point to the pilot circuit, to small a pilot jet. Have you cleaned, adjusted the carbs? You should always adjust cam chain tensioner, then valve lash, then carbs. Your mix screw should be set at 3- 3 1/2 turns out. Screwing in will lean, out will richen.
