Just a trick of the trade question. What is the best way to keep new/old grips on a new/old bar. Are there some glues that work best and can be released if you want to take the grips off and save them?

I use liberal amounts of WD40 to install my grips. Once dry, they seem to stay on fine. I've never had to resort to gluing any on.

i use compressed air to inflate the grip as i slide it on or off, no glue, works great.

Compressed air. I wonder how long I would have needed to think of that one without this forum. Maybe that is why we have forums! No need to reinvent the wheel.

I had some new grips from 3M and they were very tacky which I didn't know until after this thread. It was more a question of getting them on than them working off. I tried a little dishsoap and water (which I heard would dry and not be slick). Got 'em on and all seems fine. I can see where I will get them off with compressed air if needed. Thanks guys.
