Hey everyone,

Go my stainless steel brakeline in the mail today from 650Central. I'm trying to install it now but running into a problem.

It is leaking where the red arrow points to in the picture below.

Any idea what is going on here? I don't want to brake anything because the junction area (where the banjobolt screws into) looks very brittle.

Best,
Adam

Don't know this exact line, but I would start by loosening then re-tighten the nut just below the red arrow.

I don't know how it "looks brittle" but brake line components are pretty tough overall.

Ah man, I feel like an idiot.

Loosening and re-tightening that nut seemed to do it.

Guess I was just being overly cautious.

Best,
Adam

Your pic is a perfect example of why a fitting with a slight angle (20°-22°) is generally used at the caliper. That straight fitting pretty much blocks access to the bleed nipple.

i ordered the same one a year or so ago. had the same problem with the straight fitting making it difficult to access the bleeder valve. i don't understand why he still sells this one with the straight fitting for our bikes.

so i called up mmm and exchanged it for a line with a 30 degree fitting. works much better.
