Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but when I installed my LED brake light I spliced the wires into the wire that comes from the brake light switch. The issue is that my brake light comes on, then turns off when I apply the brake. Can anybody tell me what I missed?

It sounds like you've wired it wrong. If you have a spare battery hook it up to confirm which is tail, brake and ground. I know my rear light wire colours were odd, I think earth might've been yellow?

Thank for the reply Austblue.

All appears to be hooked up correctly. If I ground the black wire, I can hook up the white to the running light for the license plate and that works as it should. Then I hook up the red to the brake light switch and the light just comes on, then shuts off when I hit the brakes. This is per the instructions also. If I try to ground a different wite just to see what happens, nothing works.
