bought a bone stock 78 special in may and i've been a lurker here ever since. I've been riding for years, but i'm a first time builder. Started chopping the special almost immediately and here's what i came up with (sorry, crap phone pics):

Yes. Oak. Cut a hole in the side, a friend of mine made a wiring board with 2 capacitors on it.

Thanks.. Hoping to have it completely finished in the next few weeks. Forks and triple tress and getting polished right now. Wiring it up when I get back in town

changed it up a little. swapped out the drag bars for daytona's. rebuilt the forks, new seals, new dust covers and polished the lowers. much more well mannered in the front, now i need to see what i can do for the rear. lol!

I like those grips. they look cool on your bike. I got the blue ones. I wasnt sure at first since they stand out so much. but they are growing on me

cept for carb tuning just finished this one up. Wiseguy did the 79 frame & intake up for me and tweeked the forks to fit and another buddy did the leather work , I done the rest , doner was a 99 yz for forks and wheels.
