I'm still trying to figure out where that seat came from-- anybody?

Nothing major is a smart approach in terms of ride ability and long term investment.

The guy I got it from said he thought it was stock but wasn't sure. I have no idea. I can tell you it is uncomfortable as hell!

Here are a few of my 1980 XS Chop. Built it nearly 7 years ago now. Ride it as much as the weather here in Indiana allows.

thanks bill! I plan on mounting that "shark" LED sportbike light within it for a more streamlined look. I am a little concerned with clearance, however. it's going to be very close.

I also got a dirtbike muffler off a KX250 and I am going to use it at the end of a custom 2-1.

Hey sarge, that's a great looking start! Love the frame rear end and the springer. Looks like 21's, what'd you use to lace em up? Buchanans?

I like the shape of the tail section. Looks different and really great. And the fender....hmm...is it, dare is ask: WOOD? or just painted to look like wood? look forward to seeing what you come up with in the end.
:)

Thanks

Yes 21"s hand cut down spokes, and added a few threads. Both Harley 40 spoke 2.15 rims.

And YES the fender is hand laminated Wood, about hundred strips of white pine and red oak, and now getting a ton of poly. Eventually it will get a fiberglass layer on the underside for toughness.

Board track inspired tank and seat, jockey shift, dual high side exhaust and forward 1 into 2 intake.
There's a good chance I'll end up mounting the bars in front of the springer, need to see what the reach is with the seat first.

Dry fit on wheel. Will be mounted more forward and lower on wheel, the low side will get a metal extension as well.

I'll probably put up a build thread with photo's shortly.
