Here's mine.
Bought it as a stock bike last May. Tinkered away on it here and there for most of the summer. Quite pleased with how it looks, and I've been shaking it down for the past week or two. Took it out to the lake and back this week, 100 kms each way. So far the only problem is the rear signals keep going out, I think they're vibrating themselves to death.
Without this site I wouldn't have been able to get it running well on my own.

This one was sitting in a barn for 12 years. It was about 95% complete, but everything was scratched, dented, or rusted. Stripped it down, sandblasted and painted everything I could. Had the cylinders bored, head rebuilt, and the crank went to MMM at 650central for new connecting rods. Got about 1000 miles on it, running great.

A few more before and after pictures here

great job on the 'before and after'!

Hey, thanks. Been messing with it since last fall. Originally my intention was to go more towards a dirt tracker. We have more dirt logging roads than paved roads up here. But too many cold winter nights, a warm heated garage, and rock and roll music, and I got stupid polishing. O well, guess I'll have to find another one to make into my tracker.

xs1961 - was it difficult to for the sr400 front wheel..??
To fit do you mean? No, I have a couplve brackets that enable fitting to standard disc-braked XS & SR500 forks
