License plate bracket

I never registered a motorcycle before so i was wondering the dimensions of a motorcycle license plate. Like to know when i make a custom plate bracket.

Hey Carbon, got back home a little over a week ago. Hard to leave and come back to the snow. Got a few things for the project while i was there. Hoping to see more places to go for swapping parts. Didn't really know of any.

so far its ebay, or the sales section here, new or homemade parts on my bike

Canadian plates are all different..

Id recommend measuring someones in a parking lot, or going to the insurance office and asking if you can measure one.

I don't have to worry about plating it for a while yet. I'll check out plate sizes this summer. Try not to get caught measuring one.

I just looked it up I guess Canadian plate size is: width - 7 7/8" and height - 5"
My bad!
But that being said I didn't measure one myself

Like I said, they vary from province to province.

BC plates are 5x8, Ontario's are 4 1/8 x 7 1/8
