I'm planning on ordering 2 inch longer tubes for my xs650 front end. I've rebuilt lots of forks but never changed tube lengths.
This is a dual brake front end off a 1980 special...going on a custom trike project.
Will I need longer springs or a 2 inch spacer?
Is there more fluid required than stock?
Thanks in advance.

I went 4 over with a spacer and they are workin fine springs would be better but ya know how it is. Lol

Couldn't you find a say complete XS1100 front end for about the same money as longer tubes?

I see the Alaska location now, that might change the used parts availability a bit.

Yep hard enough to find any parts...I have a fork brace and dual brake setup and most of the weight is a 250 lb rear end. CB750 SOHC engine. It won't be hammered on..just a cruiser for the missus.
