At the moment I´m going with a 18" front wheel out of an xs 400. With a homemade adapter, spacers and stuff it works fine. I also have a homemade bracket holding the caliper from a cbr 600. Rotor is stock.
By the way, these spokes are thinner then the 650 19", don´t know if it matters but anyway
Both the '76-'77 RD400 and the '76-'77 XS500 used an 18" rear disc mag. I doubt they would swap right in (or everyone would be doing it). Sprockets are also too big and use a 4 bolt mount.
BBSwede, did you make the adapters yourself or have them made? Tell me any info on those you can please? I bought a XS4 18" front wheel of ebay today. What size are the tires you have on that bike? Are they both the same? Thanks, RD
The rd 250/400 rear will fit just needs the bearings changed, I think the xs bearings go straight in, same outer diameter, I"ve got an 18" one already done in the shed, but they also need a new sprocket made up for them as well.
