Hey, My name is Shawn and I have recently aquired a pile of parts believed to be an '80 XS650. It was started as a cafe' project, but suffered the fate of the owner loosing interest. The mill had 29k kms but has a fresh top end and honed bores, lots of fresh, OEM parts as the previous owner was a shop supervisor for a Yamaha dealer.

I'm thinking drag/cafe/chopper flavour as bike is set-up with an XS750 tank and I'm influenced by Shinya Kimura, AN-BU and STUDS builds. I'm a welder/fabricator for a CNC shop so I want to get creative with some fresh parts ideas.

No pics, yet but here is my '79 XS1100 standard I have almost finished for this season. Cheers and I look forward to checking out the board.
