Gordon May of Manchester UK, departed this morning , heading first to the Northern most tip of Norway then heading overland to Capetown South Africa. He thoroughly restored a 1952 Royal Enfield 500 Twin especially for the trip.
This is the fourth such long distance journey on vintage British bikes. After each trip he has written about his experiences. He has an excellent website set up , where you can read about the motorcycle and all the work that’s been done to in in preparation for this trip, along with necessary mods , so the bike will survive. You can also read all about the man, the trip, and past such trips. It’s all right here,
