Measurement needed

Would anyone be able to tell me the distance from the front of the badge to the front seam of the tank and the distance from the bottom of the badge to the bottom seam?

This would be for a 78-79 Standard tank.

I included the flange/edge of seam.
Used the front screw hole as a reference.
To the edge of the badge to the outside of the seam.
forwards 6 1/4
down 5 3/8

Made me measure, on a 79 tank from the front screw hole to the front seam edge I got 5 5/8" M/L and 4 3/4" to the floor. (tank sitting on floor with petcocks on, front seam on both sides touching the wall) I was measuring straight to the wall/floor maybe if I measured at an angle to the seam I'd get WER's number. YDMV

I used a piece of string to follow the contour.

Thanks again guys. I was leaning toward using the string method but am going to try both methods to see if the result is the same.

WER, your measurements are from the edge of the badge and not the screw hole, correct?
