mikes xs brake calipers

hi all,

has anyone on here used the brand new mikes xs front brake calipers.

seeing that they are reproduction aftermarket callipers and not genuine, i was just wondering if they are iffy at all or if they wear out quickly? or any other problems?

would be a great help if anyone knows....

I got a genuine Yamaha on ebay, plus a rebuild kit from Mikes, for roughly the same price.

if you're looking for the left, just go to Mike's, unless you get lucky on ebay.

If you're looking for the right, just go ebay. There are lots there.

There ya go. $10. buy that and the rebuild kit, and you're in business.

I put one of them on the front of my 78 Special. Mounted well and works great.

Changed over to dual discs and used the L/R set, no problems so far at 3K miles.
