My 1977 Chopper Build

Going to use this thread as a photo dump basically.

My plans for me bike:
King/Queen seat
Coffin Tank
Raked neck to 35 degrees to run a 6"-8" extended 34mm Front End with shaved and polished lowers.
David Bird Loop style hardtail 2 inch stretch and 2 inch drop
Single down tube from the neck to a small loop above the front motor mounts
19" heritage special 64 spoke front wheel (might lace this up to the mikesxs 21" hoop)
18" rear heritage special 48 spoke drum (lacing up to the 18" hoop sold by mikesxs)
Home built PMA with custom bracket and vf500 stator and rotor
Pamco Ignition using a green DYNA coil


When I picked it up

I slid my motor from the garage into my basement to work on it and clean it up:

No turning back. Finished my frame jig and hacked off the rear.

Bought these 34mm 8 over fork tubes for $57 shipped. Going to go nice once I shave the lowers and get new seals.

Heritage Special 64 spoke front wheel. If I get some money I plan to relace this to the mikesxs 21" hoop with stainless spokes. I am currently looking for a rear HS 48 spoke hub so I can lace up a 18" with the other hoop mikesxs sells for the rear.

Please dont stop updating this build, I really need to see more choppers with K&Q seats. Where did you get the 64 spoke wheel? I've been trying to find a 64 spoke hub for like ever.

I hit a brick wall with my frame fab. Couldn't find a bender but i am getting it worked out. Should be rolling shortly. I am still in need of a coffin tank.

Had to turn sleeves to make the fork tubes work with my 74mm stock internals.

Picked up a new engine with a fresh top end.

I like the rounder corners of that coffin. the usuals are sharp edged. Ide think a springer would look better with the k&q. my 2 scents
