my 82 heritage special bratstyle bobber build

That seat your making may end up being the best looking one I've seen so far on the Virtual Impact Kit. So far I haven't seen any I could live with. That has been my draw back to buying one of these kits so far. I been watching lot of builds from people using that kit but haven't seen one seat that fills up that area that is pleasing to look at.

thats not a visual impact kit,i made those seat rails myself from 3/4 steel tubing, and bent them myself,i took 2 steel plates and laid one on the rails and marked it underneath with a sharpee then cut it out with a jigsaw, then made the second and welded them together, smoothed them out on a sanding disc attached to drill.took a while but i still have the bolts to weld in

well,i didnt like the seat rails very much so i cut them off and im starting over, this time with 1 1/8 .120 wall tubing.will post pics soon

got my engine painted, reworked the frame for the seat rails and shock mounts, wich lowered it another 1.5",slow but steady

decided to mount the fender to the swingarm, made a bracket then welded it on,will make my fender struts myself also,i used the front fender for my rear,i doing everything on a tight budget, wich means hacksaws and cutoof wheels on my 4 1/2" grinder,my job gave us $75 walmart gift cards for xmas, got me a nice dremmel kit,so much easier to cut that fender down,if the overtime would pick up at work this project would get done so much faster.painted the motor a cast coat iron mettalic color,500 degree engine paint.looks really nice just gota decide bike colors to paint my covers

I just putting my brat kit on today with rebel shocks. looks awful close to tire What clearance do you require?

im 220 lbs,i made my mounts almost straight up and used suzuki 425 shocks at 12 1/4 inches, there softer than factory and i should have about an inch an a half between the fender and seat when im donethats after sitting on it

i painted the engine, and covers, put my engine back on just to get a feel for the look, waiting on my tubing to get here so i can make the new seat rails, took some harley foot pegs that were donated and fabbed them to fit in place of the old set,but my homemade seat is butt ugly, think ill buy that part,
