My battery was pissing, why?

started up the 78, noticed that the tail light wasnt on, and it should have been, gave it a few revs and it lights up when It gets above a certain RPM but not when it idles. Shut it off and what do I see, a nice puddle below the battery box and theres a pretty constant drip...

AC current going into the battery, Reg/rect problem. MAYBE, but I would hope that someone like Pete confirms or denies.

I agree with Jimmy ... sounds like possibly regulator issue ... the battery will boil over like that if it is overcharging. ... also if you have a weak ground that could explain the tail light issue

well its a good thing I have a brand new one sitting on the shelf, ill have to mess with it tomorrow.
