So a friend of mine convinced me I needed to build a bike. Found someones basket case so I wasn't chopping anything too nice. :D

Hoping to have this ride-able by next summer. Got a clear open title on a 81 SH with matching motor. Getting ready to rebuild the carbs and gonna pull the motor this weekend hopefully.

Why do you need to pull the motor? have you done a compression test yet? How many miles showing? More often than not, change the oil and filters, set the cam chain and valves, check ignition and rebuild the carbs, it's ready to ride. Big Jimmy will say the same I think. Sure it might need work but a lot of them don't.

He's going to be sending the frame out for hardtailing. As he doesn't trust his welding ability to do frame welds. On all other notes though I agree. Compression, fuel and electronics are all you need.

What's funny is; he's sooo slow that I have to post up his pics for him.
