So I have had this thing for quite some time. was planning on hard tailing it but with the cost of professional welding these days I decided to do something else, and since it's coming along and I'm currently waiting on some finishing touches I figured I'd start throwing so pictures up.

Feel free to criticize and question!!!!

The first is the day I got her and rolled her inside, after getting a straighter front fork and putting in a pamco and a pma I got her to run not I'm just waiting on santa to bring my gas tank, bars, and a brake line!!

Only problem I'm having right now is I think the timing is too advanced must fiddle with it later

Well I may be getting some parts in the mail today, been busy painting a captain America themed bike, I'm no painter just had a friend ask me to do it.

But while at a thrift store this weekend I picked up this little tin I think I'll use for a battery box of some sorts

Hi Fings,
yeah, economics reenforcing the thought that hardtails is for masochists, eh?
You got the leftside front caliper for the front disc? The stock XS650 front disc is a rightie.
And OK, I finally worked out that the Captain America tank is a different project.

Hahaha glad to see you again!

Yeah I'm working on swapping that (or getting an xs1100 caliper) when I take the fork back off, missing a few ball bearing in the stock race, gonna upgrade those soon too.

The Capt America Bike was my second bike it's a 1991 Nighthawk 750. I sold to a buddy I graduated college with, well he still has it, and it's not hideous yellow anymore :D

Got a tank in the mail finally looks a little beat up but I'll see what happen after
I seal it any suggestions?

That's a pretty wild tank. What's it from? Maybe play around with the mounting to change the angle that it is sitting. Seems kind of long for the frame. Saw a bike in a documentary the other day (http://www.choppertown.com/dirtbag-download/) that was pretty neat. He was running it no headlight. In place of the light was a small barrel/keg mounted sideways that was used for his gas tank. The movie is pretty sweet. Worth the ten bucks for the download.

It's been awhile so here's an update, got bars on front end squared away tightened up, trying to figure out if I want to keep this tank, kinda afraid it's going to fall apart. :bike:

Cut off some brackets and other extra weight, sooner or later I'll get this tank sealed and a seat figured out and go :bike:

and is ugly

But I like it :( lol..... We'll see
If anyone has a CL or an RD the tank is supposed to fit better on older 350s.

And on to more junk!!!
Picked up an 03 R6 exhaust and muffler for mad cheap.
I think she's destined to sound like a weedwacker lmao

Now just to cut some of that header up and find away to get a 2 - 1 built see how quickly it'll rattle off.... Challenge Accepted.

Well I have most of the seat done just need to secure it to the pan, and got the tail light bracket welded.
So last night I did some kinda mock up whatchamacallit I think it's looking snazzy, and my seat is comfy as hell, also got the hodaka tank polished up so opinions welcome, I still need to seal the fiberglass tank anyway, the nightmare it may become....
