need a nyc mechanic for help wiring my 81 xs

ok, i've reached the end of my ability with my 81. got it in trade and the guy who wired it obviously didn't know wth he was doing. however, i'm still having some issues. anyone know of a good mechanic in the nyc area that might help.

I hate electrical problems. Never have understood why people butcher harnesses. I recommend buying a new harness. I picked up a new harness for my 79 xs650 from mikesxs.net for about $60. Look on the old harness and there is a white paper with part # on and then match model# on their web site. New harness is plug and play then you can modify what you need to and you know it is done right.
