Need Confirmation: OK to Mix Used Cam and Rockers?

Hi All,

I tried searching but didn't find anything clear and definitive. Is it OK to mix used cam and rockers from different motors as long as they aren't worn/going bad?

I ask because I am new to motorcycle engines. Coming from car engines, I am very aware that you never mix cams and lifters once they've worn into each other.

I've got multiple xs650 parts motors and want to make this work without spending more money.

Never heard of it being a problem. I'm sure it's done all the time, many round here have copious parts selections.
Was that ambiguous enough for you?
