Welcome Josh. That’s an easy one. It’s your neutral indicator switch. It doesn’t look broken though. Just loosen that Phillips screw on top and slide it in and tighten down. Worst case you may need to squeeze the ends together a bit. Good luck.
No problem, that is your neutral indicator light switch. Haven't owned an 82 but do not think that would in any way affect the running or cause any trouble other than not have I neutral light.
