First I did the math.
them I made a template out of cardboard
Then I center punched all the centers.
I drilled pilot holes with a cordless drill.
Then I drilled the final holes with the cordless too.
The aluminum is easy to drill.
The hardest part is getting the pilot holes in the correct place
Now that suits my idea of what I am looking for in my own Brat. Nice organic curvilinear forms in the rear subframe where everyone else is putting severely geometric angles accentuated by strtaight tubes. Which is fine and all but not for my style right here, right now.
The Monstermechanic assembly is extremely robust for such a lightly loaded part of a swing arm frame. Some of the mid 70s foot peg hangers are in the form of a loop that may suit your needs for a pillion support quite nicely. Some bits of 1/4" aluminum sheet cut to shape. mount on the shock shaft and a weld on tab of your own design will keep the p-pad in the sprung rather than unsprung category
