I’m restoring a pair of Hitachi HSC40 carburetors (I know, blasphemy.) that we’re given to me. I’m able to find rebuild kits that have most but not all of the items I need. As luck would have it, I need two jet needles of different sizes, one Y-24, Y-25, and the corresponding emulsion tubes (needle jets.) My question - Does anyone know of a commercial source that might have the needle jets without having to buy another rebuild kit?

Good AM :)) In a similar boat. 84 Virago 700 V-twin. One needle is Y-32. Can’t read the other. Darn it. Can anyone help with that number ….and, worse yet, should both needles have pin-like points?? One is sharp as the dickens…the other one looks flat and slightly damaged. Where can I find them without an entire rebuild kit. Thank you

Jets-R-Us has Mikuni and Keihen needles.

I don't know what kind of carburetors are on a Virago, but I've used both vendors I've linked to and recommend either of them.

HI Jet M:)) HSC40 Hitachi carbs. Forgot that info. Nichecycle was great but only deals with Mikuni and the Keihen ...or something like that. I just read your reply re: Jets-R-us. In the same boat....dog gone it...but thank you so, so much. My '84 only has 34K miles. Gave the guy $100 with new battery, tires, air and fuel filters. I ride a 20 CSC trike.....so only fixing this one up to flip:))))

Good Afternoon Mule. In the same boat...but no E-clips to adjust the needles. Mine are Y-32. Can NOT read the other one. Darn it. Hate to put them back on and still have probs. Not necessarily easy on my 1984 700 V-twin Vigaro Yamaha. I removed both needles NOT realizing one is larger than the other. I now know the larger one goes into the Rear carb. MyYamaha dealer told me to simply install Y-29 in both carbs. What are your thoughts please....and thank you. Johnny in Alma, CO
