hey guys;

long time member/lurker. so long ago i chose the lame member name you see. i'm trent, editor of bikerMetric.com and now manufacturer of motorcycle parts.

the first thing we did was something we call "the junkie style footpegs." the innovative part is they are not solid. there is a t6-6061 solid aluminum tube in the middle, and a "sleeve" which attaches with a 1/2" long bolt, recessed into the sleeve.

i created these with hopes that they would be more economical for folks who bought them, since instead of getting new pegs when you wear yours out, or get bored with them, you can purchase sleeves only at a fraction of the cost of new solid pegs. read more at http://www.bikermetric.com/2012/04/bikermetric-universal-footpegs-for-sale.html

+ aluminum pegs with aluminum sleeves are now $99.

+ aluminum pegs with brass sleeves are now $125. these are very popular and the last two pair of all-aluminum pegs may be our last.

grips, risers, points/engine covers, 30-tooth sprockets, and more in the "junkie" design are coming soon.

previous customers will receive a 10% discount for purchasing matching "junkie style" parts.

then we'll be creating other designs. stay tuned.

i created an album with a few photos of the pegs here at xs650: http://www.xs650.com/media/albums/1057/

finally, these are 100% american made. we didn't get our metal from overseas. my partner/cad designer was born in america, as was our cnc machinist and me. all the parts were designed and manufactured in the usa. we're crating american jobs here, however few. it's a start.

you can purchase yours here at http://www.bikermetric.com/p/metric-motorcycle-parts.html

thank you.

hugh owings got a pair of pegs shipped to him at the end of the week. they are made to fit into stock xs650 mounts. hopefully he will dig 'em and say so.

right on, man. appreciate the positive comment. it's been a nightmare getting these done right. so many machine shops are junk. we've found a great one. the next batch is going to be something special.
