Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading the forum a while because I have bought an XS650 last year for building/renovation. My experience in building bikes is none, but I learn something new everytime I´m in the garage.

I surely will be asking a lot as the time/build goes. The atmosphere seems to be good and helpfull in here and I look forward to be a part of it.

I live in Sweden so excuse me if I occationaly write something wrong!

It looks cleaner than it is. And you only see a small part of the shop. Maybe I should have chosen a different color on the walls when I renovated it, but I´m thinking of painting some pictures on them later.

Oh, yes. White ceiling, excellent lighting, sturdy benches. I like that.
I would probably paint red or yellow stripes on that step in the floor.

That's not a bad idea!

The bike is from -81. I don't have so much history on it but it seems to be in a fairly good shape considering the age. My goal is to make it a hard tail and "rebuild" the engine. We'll see how that goes...
