Sure, they will come out. You can pry them out with a big screwdriver. Just put something on the fork lower so you don't damage it when pressing down on it. Some put a screw in it and pry it out with a hammer.

Good resources here, but first thing you need to invest in is a good manual. It will answer 80% of your questions. Not trying to be mean, just the same advice I have to give to the locals here.
