new xs650 owner from md!

Hey guys! Im new to the forum and just picked up an '81 XS650SH yesterday! drove 3 hours up to PA to pick up this beauty.

Only 5700 original miles on the bike and SOOOO clean!
I eventually plan to make this a bratstyle/bobber bike but probably won't be changing anything for awhile because it is too clean to mess with

I still have a lot to learn about bikes and hope that this forum will help guide me along the way.

That's a real beauty. Keep it stock and it will go up in value...............hack it up and it will go down in value, but then again some enjoy hacking.

i dont want to change the bike up too much. some plans i have are to, change the handlebars, new seat, new front/rear turn signals, new taillight.

i love the look of bratstyle bikes. this is currently my inspiration:

i really want that seat. does anyone know where i can get the tuckrollseat?

they have it on the bratstyle website but it'd obviously be too much to get it shipped here.

mbae, welcome to the forum. Some real cool folks here. Nice 81. I like the way it looks now but I also like the bratstyle inspiration bike. It's up to you-the skys the limit with these 650's. Either way have fun and ride safe...Joe
