im current building a 77 that I have made a hard tail. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good chain that has a decent price that I should buy? thanks for the help!

Bikemaster from your local dealer is reasonable in price and decent quality.Otherwise there are myriad price points and brand names.

I'm just running a generic parts unlimited on mine and its working fine. If you want to spend the money to have a cool accent piece, I believe you can get a Renthal Gold chain in that size. Renthal has wonderful chains but not the greatest sprockets. Other than that and Generic I would take a D.I.D.

EK makes all of Parts Unlimited's chains as far as I know. Been using them for years on several different bikes.
