So I fired the bike up for a little bit today and noticed two things. One, the left exhaust has white/blue smoke coming from it, and two, above the right exhaust (under the valve?) there was oil on the fins. Any ideas? Am I looking at rebuilding the head?

If the bike hasn't run in a while the rings may just be stuck. A little riding might straighten it out. The 4 valve covers all have gaskets, the front right one may be perished.

Depending on the year, the valve covers will have either a gasket (early years) or o-ring (later years). On the 3 hole covers, they can be fitted in three different positions. I don't know why, but sometimes one position seals better than another. Rotate the cover 120°, re-install, and see if that helps. If still leaking, do it one more time. If you have the o-ring type cover, you can pop the ring out and flip it over. That presents a clean, unused side out and may seal better.
