Its in the title, can I proceed?

I got some oil drip on the gasket, its not a wipe-off situation. the oil has soaked in a bit, made the gasket darker.

Thought maybe I could use brake cleaner and go for it?

use it. its gonna get oil on it eventually.
The only prob I can see is it ripping in the oil spot when you carefully slide it down the rods. After I ripped my first one and only one I reordered two. and what do you know? it didnt rip. I has extra. Guesse I need another 650.;)

Newb mistake myself when i installed my for the first time, soaked the whole entire gasket in motor oil. Worked fine but i think it was an old gasket. Not the ones that have the special glue or whatever it is. The motor sat for a while as well before start up. Oil on the gasket could have dried up a bit.
