I was going threw pictures and came across the very first XS 650 I built Maybe 5 yrs ago I think. This was brought to me as a wreck and when I got it done the guy almost crashed it in front of me. He couldn't ride HAHA
I think this bike ended up in PR. that's were he was going with it.
SO LETS SEE YOUR FIRST XS 650 build. This is the bike that caused the brain to go numb and build 49 more.HAHA:doh:

I saw that Carbon had posted and had to post up a pic of mine too. :D :bike:
2013 was not a good year for my family and I.
I built mine through a lot of heartache and loss.
Don't think I could've got her done without my friends on this forum. Thanks fellows.
Started in 2012.

Not a Xs, but my buddies XJ. Hard tailed it, did a few little other things. Just some pics of me necking down the back bone, for plug weld and welding. And my first XS build is my current bike. Bought it as a non running project, basically made it into my own..

Heres the XS, again picked it up as a non runner, no wiring or anything. Pipes, bars, tank, tag bracket, some other things I hope that you won't see anywhere else. Tried to makem my own style.

Nice looking work gents.

Started as a 79 special, bored out to 750, vm36 carbs, swing arm extended 3 inches, Gorgon Scott High pipes, kick only, LEDs all around with custom wire harness, ect. I call it The Red Rocket, loud and fast.

My first built, winter of 2011

I have a great set of friends that have a British motorcycle and car repair place. I've been shooting the shit with them for years. I noticed in the corner this lonely 73 XS650 and asked what Dave O was gonna do with it and he said it was a great bike and he wanted a good reliable cafe bike. I told him I would like to do an XS one day and started bouncing my ideas off of him. A week later I noticed the bike was dragged out and there was some tubing and a solo seat and his sporty tank was next to it. I assumed he was getting ready to do some work on it but to my suprise he told me he knew a guy that wanted an XS and had some cool plans. At that moment all of the years of drinking beer and bull shitting about bikes and trading riding stories made me realize what a true biker was. Dave had a stroke a few years before and he explained to me he didnt want the bike to just be built he wanted it to be sweated on, bled on and rode on. Here is the begining of my Dave O build.

Well you asked for opinions on what could be changed on your bike. I don't think you were hated on.

Opinions I received, yes. And I appreciate good opinions. However there was quite a bit of immature hater comments. But haters are going to hate.

its a good looking bike, yes people on that thread were asking more than minor changes. They suggested things that would cost hundreds of dollars such as new paint, as you were asking minor.
