Finally riding starts idles easy. When riding my mid range rpms hesitates or "chugs". Lower rpms or once hasitating stops it hauls. I noticed when checking my timing the line that should floats moves slightly left and right staying center of the u mark to the line. Is this norm with pamco?

I've been tinkering with the carbs to see if its a carb issue.

dqn,

You may want to check the springs in the advance mechanism. If they are loose, then the timing can wander a bit.

You also want to check that maximum advance is not reached before 3000 RPM's, which could also be a sign of loose springs.

Check the web site,

for more tips on the advance mechanism and things to check.
