pamco question

i want to run the pamco ignition with out going to crazy on money (at first)..
i have an 81 special and the kit says i need to install a advance rod of some sort.... is this an in depth project? i want to ride not tear the engine down for better spark

It's not too bad. The advance and advance rod were used on earlier models but left off yours. They fit right in. You don't have to do any tearing down of the motor. The parts fit under those little chrome covers at the top of the engine on both sides. You do need to install bushings for the rod in the cam ends. Check out Pamcopete's website. He has detailed instructions for installing all the parts.
