Sometimes inlet piping is cracked or damaged. Shit happens.
To remove the old I used a 13/64 bit.
A 6mm bit and tubing for the new.
A tubing cutter was used instead of saw or cut-off blade. The separation is cleaner and it kinda swedges the end of the tubing so the press fit is tighter?
Be careful about the depth of the 6mm hole. Notice where the casting is stepped down below the base, I'm not sure how thin that can be. To gauge depth I laid the bit along the side a titch above the step and used a piece of tape on the bit to mark the whoa point.
We are all big boys here I'll let you'uns decide to fine points.
This is just how I jury rigged it. It may last my lifetime, it may cumapart before the end of the drive. Time will tell.
