It might help if we knew what petcock you have, there are about 4 styles three of those style have lefts and rights, that makes the odds of your petcock being the right petcock for anyone about 1 in 7....

Oh here's a pic.

Looks like it might be a Mikes RH non vacuum petcock for a vacuum tank. It appears to have two exits installed, what's up with that?

All I know is that it came off a stock 78 tank on the left side.
