Process of my first bike...

We got a first timer over here! Its my first bike, 78 xs650 with a G&L hardtail for a 200mm tire (we are using a 190 off a zx1000). Hardtail is welded and the tank is mounted. Still have to mount the rear fender, make an offset sprocket, pipes, and mid controls. good times! Hope to be in powder and paint in a few weeks.

The bike looks great. On the bike i'm building now, I slid the forks up the way you did, and flipped the top tree. I was able to run shorter bars, and the flipped tree acts like a riser. I'm not sure if this will work, but I didn't have to cut anything. My thinking was, if I cut it and don't like it, I'll have to buy new parts to put it back right.
