Turning my very tired old AHRMA production racer back in to a street bike.
Here is the bike as I bought it at Barber in 2010 I think. $200.00.

Then how it was when I raced it in 2011-2012.

Mounted the Vape, shot some starter fluid straight into the intake ports and BANG on the first kick, she ran briefly. If my 2 into 1 intake comes in the mail today then she should run a little longer! I am running battery-less and keeping the bike light and minimalistic.

Finally got another package from Gary Hoos. One brand new carburetor to go with my slightly used VM34, two intakes, innards for my carb, 2 Into 1 cable and air filters. Lots of tinkering to do but they are close as they are.

Found a fresh box of NGK B7ESs in my stash for my hot rod slant six. Screwed two of 'em into the XS2 and man, " Don't she purr."
This ignition and fuel system from Gary Hoos is about as plug and play as it gets! I won't be doing any additional tuning until I can ride the bike. Pretty long to-do list between here and there.
Wiring, brakes, lights, a seat and a muffler and midpipe for the (very loud, open) 2 I'm not 1.

Bought a cheapo lever/ master cylinder set. Thought I'd risk the $30.00. Here's what I'm up against. What's the solution, extra long adjuster? Send it back?

I think it was universal. A friend of mine had used a similar set up on a CB450. I'm going to see if I can return it. I haven't found an 8mm adjuster long enough to take up all that slack.

Does your engine have the stock firing order, or is it rephased? Trying to get my head around the stator plate coils......

Finished the wiring on the bike. It is very minimalist. No horn, signals or electric start. Rode it over to a friend's house. Ran pretty good but does have a little hesitant on quick throttle openings from closed. Gonna go up from 30 to 35 pj's and see how it goes. S'posed to rain tomorrow.

I bought a cheapo pair. The clutch side had an "extra short" adjuster. I put the stock adjuster into the new replacement. Food for thought. Maybe this helps.
