i get a puff out of the left side intake. re-phased cam and crank.
thanks hugh. may be the cam gear needs a bit of adjusting or i'm off a
link???? motor is raw no carbs or pipes, valve spec. .004 intake .006. exhaust
and ideas gents. i had this problem when i put the motor together a few weeks
ago and the left cylinder would not fire at all. switch every thing over coil, plugs
the works. still the left cylinder would not fire. so what did i do, i tore the whole
motor down and rebuilt the head lapped the valves and cleaned up and matched
the ports. now i'm reassembling the motor and i have the same issue so far. i'm
sure i have to adjust the cam but i just wanted to bounce it off the board.
i was getting spark to both plugs the first time i assembled the motor so i'm sure the
pamco is ok.

Can't get this left cylinder to fire!!!!!!!!!! Switched every thing over and the problem stays plugs get big fat spark. I'm stumped. And pissed.

Are you using the PAMCO 277 iginition? I recall reading a post from Pete that there is only way to properly set it up and 16 ways to do it wrong. So you may have spark, but the timinig for the spark could be off. I'll be doing the rephase soon and would like to see your lessons learned.

only had 60lbs compression in left(charging side) cylinder.
found a nasty leak in the new copper head gasket. between
the head and the gasket not the cylinder and gasket. may have
to deck the head!!! yup that trick dicky pamco is in there.
more later......

I know right. I still thought it would fire even with 60lbs
Does any one know if my head gasket is smoked? Not
Sure if copper head gaskets are re useable or not.
