Quick tech question for you guys, more affirmation of what I am reading.

Q: With the correct spanner wrench I can remove the starter with the engine in the frame and install a plug easily?

I know it's kind of a silly question but just doubting myself and need to double check. To make a long story short. I think the starter is smoked and don't want it on this build regardless. I have only messed with pulling the starter with the engine out of the frame before on previous builds.

Thanks for your time.

Recently pulled the starter and blocked the hole off with a freeze plug while the motor was still in the frame. Took a little shifting around to get the freeze plug in but I had no problems. It didn't help that my frame is super low and therefore the motor is too but once I laid on my garage floor and got the proper swinging motion with my BFH I was able to wack the freeze plug in no problems.
