So I finally got the electric starter motor and gear re-installed.
The PO liked to kick and while that's not a problem, the rear sets I installed get in the way.
After hearing all the problems some people have with their e starts and dealing with an '85 Virago starter, I was very happy when I pushed the button and after just a couple of turnovers, she fired right up.
Nice!
It really helps to have the battery in top condition as well.
