Hi guys.

I'm reassembling my rear mag wheel (78 special). Just went to put the spacer tube in between the bearings and noticed that there's no flange / collar on there like there is on the front one and in the photos. I'm going to have a good dig about incase it's in my box of bits but pretty sure it's not. So, it the flange important? Do I need to source a replacement or and it be used with just the tube alone?

Just so you understand its not the top hat spacer I'm missing, it's the collar / flange that goes over the spacer which lies between the bearings. (hope that made sense).

cheers

I think that's just to hold it in line during assembly. If you use the axle to keep it lined up until it's captured you'll be fine. Other bikes I've changed the bearings on don't have one of those and they do fine.
